Eyes are opening, spots are getting more visible, they are up on all fours and toddling around. Gee, nothing is much cuter... : )

1 Week 1 Day old yesterday...

Here is a little video taken yesterday of the vigorous eaters and them trying to get up and crawl around. These pups have been very mobile since day one, but it is a bit much to get their chubby bellies off the blanket. Soon enough... if they are as active as the litter Sabrina came from and the litter her Daddy Decker came from...we will have our hands full! : )

Pups are gaining by leaps and bounds... I can see spotting faintly under the hair in the skin, starting to show up on ears and muzzles.

Pups are gaining and gaining... plenty of milk for the five rolly pollys.
Weight on Day 2:
#1 Girl 13 1/8 oz
#1 Boy 14 7/8 oz
#2 Girl 1 lb
#2 Boy 14 7/8 oz
#3 Boy 1 lb 2 7/8 oz!

Weight on Day Four:
#1 Girl 1 lb 1 1/2 oz
#1 Boy 1 lb 1/4 oz

Puppers are gaining weight and doing very well. Sabrina is a nice calm mother and is having a great time so far. Really!

1 Black Boy, 2 Liver Boys, 2 Liver Girls... Liver RULES once again at the JLS Dalmatian farmstead... LOL

Sabrina had her pups the evening of April 8! She decided to fool me and come a few days early. She had no problems whelping, very clean delivery and all done in 2 hours. What a GOOD Mamma dog!

She is the only bitch I have ever seen stand up in the whelping box and come over and give me big tail wags, kisses and then go back and lay down with her puppies. She is so proud of herself! That's my Breenie!

FIVE big healthy and chubby puppies.
Weights at birth in birth order: #1 Girl 11 1/8 oz, #2 Boy 12 1/4 oz, #3 Girl 14 1/4 oz, #4 Boy 13 7/8 oz, #5 Boy 16 1/4 oz!

I am pretty sure of the color on each but will look in the daylight and confirm today.

Sabrina is getting bigger and bigger. I set up the whelping box and area today. We are ready for pups in about 13 days! : )
